My first interaction with God

This week seems to be a time of reminiscing my childhood. I awoke about 5:30 this morning thinking about my first interaction with God.

My mom grew up in a very religious family. I’m not saying religious in a bad sence, just more lacking of understanding, a lot of judgement instead of love, joy and peace in Jesus. It left a mark on her for the rest of her life, but she still beieved in Jesus and raised four children in His love.

We had a little dog when I was a youg boy, a little pekingese named Sussie, sweet as could be. She was there when we were sad, she ran with us playing, bringing much joy. She was a house dog and she tried to divide her time equally with each one of us, she knew her job and did it well, bringing joyfulness ahd happiness to our family.

But like all creation, she grew old and suffered with disease. When she started to succomb to the effects of this disease, mom, doing her very best in trying to raise four children by herself, took little Sussie to the vet but she didn’t have the money to do what was needed, all we could do was to love litte Sussie!

Near the end, on a wonderfully beautiful day, mom laid Sussie on the green grass in the backyard and I sat by her listening to her whimper and crying, my heart broken and tears in my eyes. I looked up to heaven, tears running down my cheeks and said “God, please don’t let her suffer anymore, please that her home!” When I looked down at my little Sussie, she looked at me, blinked and closed her eyes and she went home!

My first encounter, interaction, my first answered prayer. It was sad, it hurt but then I wasn’t sad because God took her. I was really in a state of astonishment, God heard this little boy and loved him so much that He wanted this little boy to know “HE IS REAL!” With a compassiionate heart, God did what this little boy asked becuase He saw the love in this little boy’s heart!!

What more can be said? We are all His children….

Just a true story, a thought, just saying!
