Did you ever thing about a can of shave cream, this small can of basically soap, put under pressure, providing a seemingly endless supply of foam to cause your whiskers to rise, making it easier to cut them off, thus having soomth skin.
I get admused easily, I guess! But think about it! You get a brand new can of shave cream, shake it, then push the button and it explodes with foam in your hand, way more than is needed. You cover your face, where the whiskers are and you only use about a fourth of what you needed, the rest washed down the drain! This goes on for days or maybe weeks until when pushing the button, you get less, but still more than you need. The cycle goes on from day to day until one day you realize the foam is not the same, it’s runny, turning into liquid. You are close to an empty can. What’s left to do at this point? Get a new can!
I really have to laugh because this certainly reminds me of our daily spiritual lives. We go somewhere to hear someone share a word, a testimony or reading our Bibles or books, maybe something we saw on Youtube, that blesses our spirit to rise up, inspiring us, motivating us into what we feel we should be or doing! We explode like the foam our of a new can! As we walk in this experience, the blessings come, but a little less each day until it’s kinda of runny! We realize we are running out, It’s time to get a new blessing.
Now I don’t know about you, but I’m getting tired of this cycle of explosions to emptiness and have learned and still leeaning, I, we don’t have to run out of my blessings, because the Father I serve, love me enough to give me a NEW blessing every morning: Oh, what a blessing it is!
Just a though, just saying!
